Intent.1 The intent of this test is to establish the ability of a fiber optic cable (or fiber optic cable component, when appropriate) to mechanically withstand twisting. Measurements.The following parameters may be measured or observed: (a)The number of broken fibers caused by twisting. (b) Any change in the outer covering.
