Object The object of this generic specification is to establish a uniform quality assessment system, a uniform qualification test sequence, and a minimum group of tests for qualification or capability approval inspection, and to provide consistency in sectional specifications for electromechanical switches by specifying the terminology, symbols, test methods and other necessary information. It is also the object of allowing this specification to be used as a means of providing a Supplier Declaration of Conformity where, for whatever reason, third party certification is not appropriate.
