This Standard specifies minimum requirements for customer-owned OSP telecommunications facilities in a campus environment. This standard specifies the cabling, pathways and spaces to support the cabling. Customer-owned OSP cabling extends between separated structures including the terminating connecting hardware at or within the structures. The OSP pathway includes the pathway through the point of entry into the building space. Customer-owned OSP pathways may include aerial, direct-buried, underground (e.g., duct), and tunnel distribution techniques. The OSP cabling specified by this Standard is intended to support a wide range of applications (e.g., voice, data, video, alarms, environmental control, security, audio) on commercial, industrial, institutional and residential sites. This standard applies to all campuses, regardless of the size or population.
