This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50384 with requirements related to occupational exposure to electromagnetic fields from mobile base stations and fixed terminal stations for wireless telecommunication systems in the frequency range 110 MHz to 40 GHz. The objective of this standard is the demonstration of compliance of the equipment covered by this standard with the basic restrictions (Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)) or reference levels, respectively, which are specified in the ICNIRP Guidelines, published in April 1998, for the for safety of persons in radio-frequency electromagnetic fields. The measurement and calculation methods are described in the European Standard EN 50383 which is referenced in this standard.
