UL 246C OUTLINE

Description / Abstract: This Outline of Investigation covers requirements for the construction and performance of wet barrel fire hydrants intended for piping systems supplying water for fire-protection service for use on off-shore oil platforms or similar applications and environments. The requirements for wet barrel hydrants in the Standard for Hydrants for Fire Protection Systems, UL 246 shall apply to these hydrants except that the requirements and tests contained herein supersede the construction requirements and the Corrosion Test, where applicable.
