Description / Abstract: This standard establishes the classification of sealed radioactive sources according to particular uses. The classification is based on radiotoxicity, curie content, and performance requirements. The Standard docs not attempt to establish design standards, but leaves the design features to the judgment of the supplier and user, provided that the performance requir'ements are met.
