Description / Abstract:
The requirements in this standard apply to all types of 60-hertz
salient-pole synchronous generators and generator motors rated 5000
kVA (kilovolt amperes) and above to be used for hydraulic turbine
or hydraulic pump turbine applications.
Definitions, characteristics, and test methods not specifically covered in this standard shall comply with the following documents insofar as they are applicable:
American National Standard General Requirement for Synchronous Machines, ANSI C50.10-1977
Test Procedures for Synchronous Machines, IEEE 115- 1982 (available from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 345 East 47 Street, New York, N.Y. 10017)
